Introduction

National academy of science and technology (NAST) is a noble vision of the distinguished intellectuals of the country. It is a landmark to create the technical atmosphere in the region and providing greater oppurtunities to the unexplored talents in the Far West Region of Nepal, in the field of Science & Technology. Since it's inception in 2057 B.S., NAST is committed to providing quality education and producing highly qualified and successful professionals in the field of science & Technology. NAST is proud of pioneering engineering works in the Far West Region of the country.

The management scenario in the world has now been receiving tremendous attention. There is torrential enrollment in management stream in all universities of the country. Viewing this scene, the college decided to run management and humanity streams from the academic session 2062. Striving for excellence in its academic pursuit, NAST also intends to carry out research and promotional activities for the growth and dissemination of scientific, technological and managerial knowledge to develop itself into a leading academic institution of the country.

National Academy of Scicence and Technology has also provided better approach to the practical reach of students through it's physical facilites aslo.

With the establishment of National Academy of Science and Technology, Dhangadhi Engineering College existed as the first and only one Technical and Engineering college in the Far Western as well as Mid Western Development region. With the need of fulfilling the lack of technical education and to produce the computer literates, some of the finest minds of this country contributed to establish this college. Until now, DEC has successfully farewelled 4 batches of Engineering and B.C.A. students who are now serving the nation via various institutions and companies. Our students are now successfully working at glorious Positions with handsome incomes and elightened carieers.
Dec is now regulating the following courses since the establishment in 2000 A.D. under the affiliation of Pokhara University..

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering (B.E.)(Proposed)
• Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.)(Proposed)

NAST Higher Secondary School started with vision of providing a quality education at higher secondary level of Farwest and specifically Dhangadhi town. NAST HSS is affiliated fot Higher Secondary Education board (HSEB) started under the shadow of NAST with first batch of Science Faculty on 2059 B.S. Most of the Students who passed from this School are now engaged to huge academic institutions and has embraced challenging subjects to move with.
Currently NAST has promoted it's potential and now there are in total 3 streams of +2 courses. The faculties of +2 conducted currently at NAST are:

• +2 Science ( Biology, Mathematics & Computer in Majors )
• +2 Management ( BOOM, Computer & Accounts in Majors )
• +2 Humanities ( English,Sociology in Majors)
